Riverside, Ohio – A woman was killed in a shooting that took place earlier this month on U.S. 35. The police in Riverside, California, have identified a man as a “strong person of interest” in the case.

The 26-year-old Jamar Hayes has been identified as a person who authorities are looking to question in connection with the shooting that took place on May 8 and resulted in the death of Shauna Cameron on U.S. 35 near Woodman Drive.

Authorities added that Hayes has not been officially classified as a suspect, but the investigation so far has pointed at him as a person of interest in the fatal incident.

At the time of the incident, surveillance footage from Riverside business captured a vehicle in the area that authorities believe to belong to Hayes’ girlfriend’s car.

The current location of Hayes is not known to authorities, but they said he might be residing in a Dayton neighborhood near Dayton Children’s Hospital.

Hayes and his girlfriend’s automobile, a black Chrysler 300 with a sunroof and custom rims and Ohio license plates JDH8313, are both subjects of the ongoing police investigation.

Anyone with information on Hayes’ whereabouts or anything in connection with the incident that might be helpful in the investigation is asked to call 937-681-2301 or email [email protected].
