IRS-trained volunteers offer free tax filing assistance for Dayton residents on Super Refund Saturday

Dayton, Ohio – Eligible taxpayers in the Dayton area can receive free tax preparation and filing assistance at Super Refund Saturday on February 8, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event will take place at The Job Center, located at 1111 S. Edwin C. Moses Blvd.

Helping Taxpayers Claim Valuable Tax Credits

Super Refund Saturday is designed to help taxpayers take advantage of the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) and Child Tax Credit (CTC), two of the nation’s largest anti-poverty programs. These credits offer significant financial relief, with EITC amounts ranging from $632 for workers without dependents to as much as $7,830 for some families.

IRS-trained volunteers will provide free tax return preparation and filing services, ensuring that taxpayers receive the maximum refunds they are entitled to.

What to Bring and How to Register

Taxpayers attending the event should bring the following:

  • A valid photo ID
  • All applicable W-2 forms

Appointments are recommended and can be scheduled by calling 937-913-2000. Additional information is available at daytonohio.gov/eitc.

Super Refund Saturday is presented by KeyBank, in collaboration with the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Coalition and the Miami Valley Urban League. Tax preparation services will be available from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., but attendees are encouraged to arrive by 2 p.m. to ensure they receive assistance.
