Investigation underway after a man was admitted to the hospital suffering from a gunshot wound

Dayton, Ohio – An investigation is underway after a man arrived at a hospital last night suffering from gunshot wounds.

Dayton police were sent to the hospital after receiving a call from Miami Valley Hospital staff that a man suffering from a gunshot wound had been admitted at around 10:30 p.m.

Upon arriving at the hospital, investigators talked to the victim, who informed them he had been shot while playing basketball in the 900 block of West Washington Street.

After talking to the victims, officers went to the area to further investigate the incident.
