Interstate 70 reopened after multi-vehicle crash in Mad River Township

Mad River Township, Ohio – The scene of a multi-vehicle collision involving three vehicles and an ambulance in Mad River Township that forced the closure of Interstate 70 westbound has now been cleared and Interstate 70 is now open to traffic.

Emergency crews were sent to the scene of the collision on the interstate at the 44-mile marker at around 2:00 in the morning. According to OSHP, an ambulance ran into a car that was stopped in the westbound lanes of Interstate 70 without having its lights turned on.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, all occupants of the vehicles involved in the crash sustained injuries that did not require additional medical treatment at a hospital.

There were no further details made public at this time.
