I-675 reopened to traffic following a road rage incident

Washington Township, Ohio – Traffic on I-675 was shut down due to a road rage incident on Tuesday morning.

According to Captain Mike Brem of the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, there was a road rage incident between two cars going north on I-675.

The suspect, a 23-year-old man driving a smaller silver vehicle, opened fire on the victim, who was driving a gray Honda. The victim was struck in the leg and was rushed to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, according to the police.

Traffic was temporarily stopped near State Route 725 on Northbound I-675 for around 30 minutes as police investigated, but it has now re-opened to all traffic.

The victim pulled over to the side of the highway in order to seek medical attention, and that is where authorities discovered him.
