Columbus, Ohio – Governor Mike DeWine shared significant leadership changes within his administration, effective November 18, 2024. Current Chief of Staff Stephanie McCloud will be stepping down from her role on November 15, 2024. Christine Morrison, who has been serving as Deputy Chief of Staff, will take over as the new Chief of Staff.
Governor DeWine expressed his gratitude to McCloud for her service. “I thank Stephanie for fulfilling her two-year commitment to me and her work as chief of staff, and I am fortunate that Christine Morrison has agreed to take over as chief of staff,” said DeWine.
In addition to the transition of McCloud, Governor DeWine has nominated her to return to her previous role as the Administrator of the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation (BWC). John Logue, the current Administrator, will step into the role of Deputy Administrator at the BWC.
These staffing changes represent a key shift within DeWine’s team as they look to continue their efforts across the state. McCloud’s return to the Bureau of Workers’ Compensation is expected to bring valuable experience and leadership, while Morrison’s transition to Chief of Staff highlights her long-term service to the governor’s office.
The personnel changes will officially take effect beginning November 18, 2024.
