Firefighters extinguished fire in unoccupied residence in Dayton

Dayton, Ohio – In the late hours of Monday night, a fire broke out in an unoccupied residence.

According to Montgomery County Regional Dispatch, the fire started on the second floor of a vacant house at 514 Brooklyn Ave. The fire was reported around 10:20 p.m. on Monday.

Responding fire crews brought the fire under control shortly after arriving at the scene.

There were no reported injuries.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
