Fire crews responded to Beavercreek Township barn fire

Beavercreek Township, Ohio – A barn that caught fire in Beavercreek Township was completely destroyed on Thursday.

Beavercreek Police reported that fire crews responded to a fire in the 2000 block of Beaver Valley Road. The fire broke out around 4 p.m. at the Siebenthaler Beavercreek Garden Center.

Firefighters had a tough time putting out the blaze since the wind was driving it, and the hay, straw, and fertilizer in the barn only served to spread the flames more. According to the Beavercreek Fire Department, the fire began at the bottom of the barn. It then spread to a small barn next to it and two cars.

According to the Beavercreek Fire Department, many fire departments were on the scene, including Fairborn, WPAFB, and the Xenia Fire Department. Smoke from the fire could be spotted from miles around, and firefighters were able to see it as they were leaving the station.

There were no reported injuries.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
