Findlay, Ohio – Bryan, a resident of Findlay, is celebrating after winning $50,000 by playing the Ohio Lottery’s Cash Explosion 25X scratch-off. Bryan and his wife made a stop at Gas & Express Mart, located at 535 W Trenton Ave in Findlay, where they purchased the winning ticket.
After scratching the ticket, Bryan initially scanned it using his phone’s lottery app, but it read as invalid. Confused, he returned to the store for confirmation and discovered the exciting news. “So, I went back inside the store, and $50,000,” he recalled.
Overwhelmed by his win, Bryan shared his shock. “I couldn’t believe it. I started shaking,” he said. “My wife thought I was joking with her.”
After mandatory federal and state tax withholdings totaling 28 percent, Bryan will take home approximately $36,000. He plans to use the money to pay off some bills and enjoy a little fun with the remaining amount.
Cash Explosion 25X is a $5 scratch-off with a top prize of $150,000. The Ohio Lottery offers a variety of games, and since its founding in 1974, it has contributed over $32 billion to education in the state.
