Dayton, Ohio – The Dayton Police Department was called to the scene of an early morning shooting at 411 Noel Court. Regional dispatchers said calls came in about the incident at around 5:00 a.m. One man was shot, a medic unit was called to the scene. Regional dispatch said the victim was deceased.
Officials said a suspect man was reported to have fled the scene on foot. The Montgomery County Coroner arrived at the scene around 6:44 a.m.
Police and SWAT engaged in a standoff in the 600 block of Hulbert St. this morning. Regional dispatch said the standoff was related to the earlier shooting. It was reported an individual exited the building peacefully. No injuries were reported from the standoff.
