Greene County, Ohio – A two-vehicle accident in Green County left one person dead and sent another to a hospital.
The fatal crash occurred on Colonel Glenn Highway and Mission Point Boulevard at around 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.
According to early reports, a 2008 Chevrolet HHR driven by William R. Doyle III, 35, of Dayton, was going northeast on Colonel Glenn Highway when the accident occurred. According to the police, Doyle went off the right side of the road, struck a railing, and then overcorrected, driving over the centerline. Doyle’s Honda CR-V collided with a Honda CR-V driven by a 27-year-old woman going southwest in 2022.
Doyle died at the scene while the woman was transported to Soin Medical Center for treatment of what were said to be non-life-threatening injuries.
The Colonel Glenn Highway was shut down to traffic for approximately three hours.
