
Dayton, Ohio – The Dayton Police Department is offering a unique opportunity for community members to delve into the world of homicide investigation with its free “Dayton Law Enforcement Experience” class on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, from 6 to 8 p.m. The event will take place at the Dayton Police Department’s Central District located at 248 Salem Ave., Dayton, 45406.
This educational session will focus on the critical roles that homicide detectives play in law enforcement. According to statistics, 18,456 individuals lost their lives to homicide in 2023. The class will explore how the Homicide Unit operates both individually and collectively to solve some of Dayton’s most challenging cases.
Participants will gain insights into the methods used by detectives to solve crimes, including the analysis of crime scene evidence, logic, and reasoning. The session promises to be a fascinating exploration of human behavior and the intricacies of solving the most serious crimes.
