Driver hospitalized after colliding into Dayton police cruiser

Dayton, Ohio – An unidentified individual was rushed to the hospital after colliding with a Dayton police cruiser on Interstate 75 early Saturday morning.

According to Montgomery County Regional Dispatch, Dayton police officers were responding to a single vehicle collision on I-75 at around 3:16 a.m. on Monday.

In the meantime, according to dispatch records, a second automobile failed to yield to emergency lights and collided with a Dayton police cruiser, which was already on the scene of the initial incident.

The driver of the second vehicle was taken to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries.

The dispatch center has confirmed that no cops were injured as a result of the accident.

Interstate 75 northbound has reopened after being blocked at North Main Street for many hours.
