
Dayton, Ohio – Authorities are asking the public to help locate a missing 12-year-old girl who was last seen Friday night in the Dayton area. The Dayton Police Department has issued a critical missing person alert as officers work to determine her whereabouts.

Authorities said Sofia Cordova, 12, was last seen on Feb. 6, 2026, at approximately 9:05 p.m., walking toward Cornell Drive from Tennyson Avenue in Dayton. Since that time, police have been unable to locate her and are asking anyone with information to come forward.
Sofia is described as 5 feet 1 inch tall, weighing approximately 105 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. When she was last seen, she was wearing a black trench coat, a gray sweatshirt, black sweatpants, and brown fur boots and carrying a purple backpack.
Police emphasized that time is critical in missing child cases and that even small details could help investigators locate Sofia safely. Officers are continuing to follow up on leads while spreading the word through the community.
