Dayton, Ohio – The Dayton Mediation Center is set to honor its dedicated volunteers with a special recognition event. This celebration will take place on Thursday, September 26, from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., at the Sinclair Community College Building 12, Charity Earley Room.
For over three decades, the Dayton Mediation Center has been a cornerstone in the Dayton community, offering crucial conflict intervention services that foster non-violent and constructive responses to conflicts. This year marks the center’s 37th anniversary, a significant milestone that highlights its enduring commitment to peace and understanding within the community.
In 2024 alone, the center is on track to handle approximately 6,000 cases, impacting over 8,700 community members. This substantial outreach could not be achieved without the support of the center’s 76 active volunteers. These volunteers serve in various capacities, including mediators, panelists, board members, and administrative supporters, all essential to the center’s operations.
The Dayton Mediation Center continues to embody its mission of turning conflict into conversation, a vital service that enhances community relationships and promotes a culture of dialogue and resolution.
