Dayton community members encouraged to apply for upcoming leadership training program

Dayton, Ohio – The City of Dayton is now accepting applications for the 2025 Neighborhood Leadership Institute (NLI), an enriching program designed to empower residents and professionals with the skills and knowledge needed to make a positive impact in their communities. The application window is open until February 14, offering a unique opportunity for individuals eager to drive change and enhance their leadership abilities.

Program Overview

The Neighborhood Leadership Institute is a free, 13-session program that spans three months, combining interactive workshops, field assignments, and hands-on experiences. Participants will gain valuable insights into Dayton’s history, government operations, and community development strategies. The program is structured to provide participants with practical leadership skills and a deeper understanding of how to effectively engage with their neighborhoods.

Graduates of the program will not only develop leadership capabilities but also receive one credit hour from Sinclair Community College. They will become part of a growing network of community leaders committed to fostering positive change throughout Dayton.

Who Can Apply

The NLI program is open to adults who either live or work in Dayton. A total of 30 participants will be selected based on their demonstrated dedication to community service and their leadership potential. Those interested should ensure they submit their applications before the February 14 deadline.
