Coroner’s office identifies Prescott Avenue fire victim

Dayton, Ohio – The Montgomery County Coroner’s Office has identified the woman who died following a house fire this morning.

A coroner’s office investigator identified Tina Moore, 80, as the victim. She was a resident of the Prescott Avenue house that caught fire about 4:30 a.m. Friday.

Dayton Fire investigators told Dayton Daily Magazine at the scene they believe the fire was started because of an electrical issue.

The coroner’s office said they have not yet ruled on Moore’s cause or manner of death.

A woman has died after an early morning house fire on Prescott Avenue.

The Dayton Fire Department tells us crews were called to the home around 4:30 Friday morning.

When we arrived, several fire investigators were on the scene trying to figure out what caused the deadly fire.

They tell Dayton Daily Magazine they believe it was an electrical issue.

Firefighters also say there was little fire damage to the inside of the home.
