Dayton, Ohio – Authorities said there was no danger to the general public after a 15-year-old was wounded following a shooting in a parking lot.
Officers were sent to the scene of the shooting around 7:45 p.m. in the 8200 block of Mount Carmel Street.
The report stated, “A boy in my parking lot got shot. They have been out here all day playing basketball.”
According to Huber Heights police, the boy was not aware of who shot him and did not witness anything before being struck by the bullet.
The boy was taken for treatment at Dayton Children’s Hospital for treatment of injuries to his hip. It was said he is expected to recover soon.
