New Lexington, Ohio – Hannah Paskins from New Lexington recently had a surprising and joyous win when she scratched off a $50,000 prize on the Ohio Lottery’s Bingo Times 25 scratch-off ticket.
Paskins described the moment she realized her win, saying, “I was like, ‘Wait a minute, let me scan this one more time’.” The win came as an unexpected delight during a routine day. Her mom was in the middle of dying her hair when Paskins decided to scratch off some lottery tickets.
“I scratched the bonus and saw it was 5X and it was on the last ticket. I didn’t have any faith and so I just scanned it and it says $50,000, and I was just like, ‘WHAT?’,” she recounted.
Paskins bought the lucky ticket at Somerset Duchess #1243, located at 110 N Columbus Street in Somerset. After mandatory state and federal taxes totaling 28 percent, she will take home approximately $36,000.
The winnings come as a significant financial boost for Paskins. She plans to use the money to make her boys happy and hopes to purchase a new vehicle for herself.
Bingo Times 25, the game that brought Paskins her win, is a $5 scratch-off ticket with a top prize of $100,000. As of August 1, there are still four top prizes remaining in the game, giving other players the chance to win big.
