Dayton, Ohio – Police in Dayton say a man has been taken to a local hospital after being shot on Thursday night.
According to Montgomery County Regional Dispatch, law enforcement was sent to the 3400 block of Salem Avenue shortly before 11:00 p.m. for a report of a man shot.
The man was shot while he was leaving the Salem Beverage store on Salem Avenue, according to a news statement.
A shooting suspect fled around a building, then headed west into a neighborhood, according to eyewitness reports.
The victim was taken to Kettering Health Dayton for treatment of injuries that were not thought to be life-threatening.
No arrests have been made yet.
The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Unit is in charge of the investigation into this incident.
