Authorities say that the body of a woman found dumped on the side of a road in central Indiana in 1992 was that of an Ohio girl who was 17 when she died.
The Boone County Sheriff’s Office reported on Wednesday that DNA testing had shown that the corpse was that of Margaret Ann Sniegowski Jr., the youngest of eight siblings.
On May 3, 1992, a farmer discovered her corpse at an onramp to northbound Interstate 65 in a region about 25 miles northwest of Indianapolis.
Investigators think Sniegowski, who was one month away from turning eighteen, had been dead for several days before she was discovered.
