West Carrollton, Ohio – Employees at an Applebee’s restaurant in West Carrollton were robbed at gunpoint late Monday night, prompting police to seek an armed suspect.
On Monday, at 11:41 p.m., a man armed with a handgun entered the Applebee’s restaurant at 105 N. Springboro Pike and started demanding money from the staff working there. Montgomery County Regional Dispatch said that the suspect left the scene after taking an unknown amount of money from the employees.
No one was hurt, even though the victims were scared and the suspect managed to get away with some money.
It was reported by dispatch that an employee was able to unlock a door for the police officers who arrived on the scene, and that K9 units as well as a drone were sent to look for the suspect.
The suspect is still on the loose.
