Harrison Township, Ohio – An early morning shooting outside a Harrison Township bar left one man dead and another fighting for his life, prompting an active investigation by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.
According to authorities, deputies were called to Pregame Taphouse & Grill, located at 5202 North Main Street, at approximately 2:03 a.m. on Friday, July 24, 2026, after receiving reports of a shooting.
When deputies reached the scene, they found an adult man in the parking lot suffering from what appeared to be multiple gunshot wounds.
Officers immediately began providing emergency medical care in an effort to save his life. Despite those efforts, the victim died at the scene from his injuries.
Investigation continues as authorities seek public assistance
A short time after the shooting, a second person arrived at a nearby hospital with a gunshot wound. Investigators later confirmed that the injury was connected to the same incident that occurred outside the Harrison Township business.
Officials said the second victim remains in critical condition as medical treatment continues.
By the time deputies arrived at the scene, the suspected shooter had already left the area. Authorities have not released information about a possible suspect or described what may have led to the gunfire.
The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Unit has taken over the investigation and continues to gather evidence and determine exactly what happened before and during the shooting.
Investigators are asking members of the public to come forward if they witnessed the incident or have information that could assist the case.
