
Dayton, Ohio – The City of Dayton is set to officially welcome its newly elected leadership during a public Oath of Office Ceremony scheduled for Monday, January 5, at the Kroc Center, located at 1000 N. Keowee Street. Doors will open at 5 p.m., with the ceremony beginning at 6 p.m..
Three Leaders to Take the Oath
The event will mark the start of four-year terms for officials elected in the November 4, 2025, election. Among them is Mayor-elect Shenise Turner-Sloss, who will be sworn in for her first term as mayor. Also taking the oath is Commissioner Darryl Fairchild, returning for his second full term, and Commissioner-elect Darius Beckham, who will be sworn in for his first term on the City Commission.
This ceremonial event celebrates Dayton’s democratic process and gives the community a chance to witness the official start of leadership for those chosen to guide the city forward.
