43-year-old dies in single-vehicle accident

Liberty Township, Ohio – A middle-aged man from Youngstown died in a single-vehicle accident on Friday night in Liberty Township.

The accident occurred at 9:18 p.m. on Interstate 80 at mile post 230, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

The victim, identified as 43-year-old Paul Gregory Curry Jr., was travelling on I-80 in a 2003 Honda Odyssey when he went off the right side of the road, flipped, and was ejected from the vehicle.

The Highway Patrol said Curry had been driving without a seat belt at the time of the accident. Paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.

In order to conduct the investigation and determine the cause of the accident, the right lane of I-80 was blocked for nearly an hour.

No additional information was released.
